Making the most of your mornings

Since I have started working full time I have had to learn how to be a morning person, this is something that at first I struggled with but now I love to wake up early (even on the weekends) and make the most of my day! I thought that I would share with you a few of my tips and tricks to help you make the most of your morning's.

Every evening I would recommend doing simple jobs that will save you time in the morning this could be as simple as planning your outfit the night before or pre preparing your breakfast.
A crucial part of my morning is making my bed, this puts me in the best mindset for the rest of the day. I also think there is no better feeling than getting into a freshly made bed each evening I honestly thinks it helps me to have a better more relaxing nights sleep. Pretty much every morning without fail I will write myself a to do list, with all the jobs I want/need to get done that day, this helps me to get organised and prepared for the day ahead.

Nothing beats a warm cup of lemon water to get your day going, the addition of the lemon into your water wakes your body up and helps to boost your immune system. Making time to eat breakfast is an important part of my morning and for years I have to admit it was always a stage I would skip, but breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Lately my favourite breakfast has been Alpro Vanilla Yoghurt with the M&S Berry Musli and a teaspoon of Chia Seeds.

Drink water!! If I don't drink enough water then I tend to find I wake up feeling groggy and with the worst headache so for me it is super important that I make sure I am drinking enough water throughout the day and before I go to bed so that I feel energised when I wake up.

Be sure to let me know your tips and tricks for making the most of your mornings in the comments section!

Lots of love,
Grace x

  1. I'm starting a new full time 9-5 job next week and I'm so not ready for the early starts (I've always done shift work). I really hope these tips help, and I'm definitely going to start making my bed each morning

  2. I ALWAYS drink warm lemon water in the morning. I cannot go without it! Also, I was always a morning shower person, but once I tried showering at night, I realized how much more relaxing my mornings (and evenings!) were. A warm shower before bed is my favorite thing now. :)
